that there should be no human faces on faobocek, but all profile pictures must be cartoon characters. (To remember your childhood). Some people say that it is pointless, as it cannot actually do anything, but in my opinion it does do something; it shows moral and emotional support for those supporting the fight against child abuse. It shows that we as a society believe that child abuse is wrong, and it reminds us of our own childhoods. Whether these were bad or good childhoods, it can help us see that child abuse is wrong. (Those with bad childhoods may want to make sure that history is not repeated for other people, and those with good chidhoods will want to make sure that other children have the same kind of childhood). So please change your profile picture to show your support and beliefs!References : (( ME ))

I want to share another sesuccs story of food combining and raw foods. I have eliminated all cooks foods except meat. I eat pretty much only spinach and meat salad now with random raw veggies. I am 42 and feel like I am 19. Not the 19 I was but a 19 I never knew. I weighed 222 lbs. at peak of bad health for small boned 5'11 I was fat. I am now 188 but it fluctuates as I add muscle. Raw food enzymes solved my digestion issues. That is the key. Enzymes for every raw food intact not cookd

Fact check: Some folks might want to re-read the second alircte: note that while Debra LaFave doesn't do jail time, she DOES get three years of house arrest, and has to register as a sex offender. She has plead guilty to a felony. Let's just do a quick rundown of what that means. First--house arrest. It ain't breaking rocks in the Big House--but it has its own little torments. For starters, you have to pay for the house. Anybody have any ideas about how to pay a mortgage while you're on house arrest? Anybody here rent property, and remember that little clause in your rental contract about "outrageous conduct"? If she's renting, the landlord will put her out on her ear. (And guess what happens if you're on "house arrest," but don't have a home. Can we say "sentencing violation"?)But hey, three years of scrambling to keep a roof over your head without a job (mooching from family, friends, former co-workers, anybody you can possibly find) is no BIG deal, right? Eventually you get over it, and you can get a job and move on with your life. Oh, right--except that you're a convicted felon and a registered sex offender. And you have seven more years of probation. And you have mandatory drug and alcohol testing and monitoring. Which means you have practically zero chance of getting a job, and if you do, its going to be a third-shift gig because all your drug and alcohol counseling (and weekly testing) will happen during professional office hours Monday to Friday. You know the old cliches, right? A conservative is a liberal whose been mugged; a liberal is a conservative whose been arrested. I'm a card-carrying member of the Christian Right--who has been involved in ministry to perpetrator and/or victim for many years. And I'm convinced that the 21st century analogy to the Roman bloodlust for feeding prisoners to the lions is mimicked by the public demand for ever-longer prison sentences, in the fervent hope that the prisoners will be victimized horribly once inside.

In my opinion, it is a calling to work in any child-welfare system. One shouldn't just enter it looking for a career path. If you are going to consider the career path options. Then I imagine one would tow the line and do a half decent job. But I believe those who are called to work as a social worker, do so in order to put make a lasting difference in the lives of the children affected. I think too many case workers get involved in the 'office politics.' Those show more solidarity and care for the organization even when they are at fault rather than really advocating for the children. It is a difficult balance to strike and a very few hit it.

Trayce,

I have just watched the Lock Up epsiode of your husband Kevin Blanco and I'm sorry for what both of you have had to go thru. I know nothing of your situation or where you are, but can you go and visit him? What he needs is love and what little of your time they will allow you to spend with him. Is there an address where others can write to him and show support? And maybe send items like writing paper and what other items that are allowed? Please reply back and let me know. My thoughts and prayers are with you both. Much love! Keep your head up.
