Art in the Moment
As have so many other great ideas, it all started one night in a familiar example of those vague spaces of non-happiness, a neighborhood bar. Sarah, goddess of illustrations, impulsively—as is her wont—grabbed a bar napkin, casually turned it into a canvas for an incredible illustration (barfly #1), slid it across the bar to Derek, scribbler of verses, and said, “Write something for that.”
Thus was born the idea of barfly. Making the rounds of their favorite local bars, Sarah and Derek keep the vision true to that first creative event. Create art in a bar, preferably while drinking; create art in the moment. They (and by them we mean we) hope that you enjoy these latest installments of barfly.
