Some Props to Evangelicals
If you’ve known me for any length of time, that I would write that might seem shocking. I’ve never shown much patience for those who say, “unto the least of these,” but then betray that with their actions or inactions. To tell you the truth, it feels a little shocking to have said, but I can’t deny the significance of this article. Anyone, including evangelicals, who are willing to stand up and call for more humane policies and treatment of immigrants earn my respect. My hope is that this is sign that the evangelical movement is rediscovering the emphasis placed on the poor and the foreigner in both the Old and New Testaments.
